Ashley & Stephen were married on a beautiful Saturday last May. She exudes confidence and has a calming way about her while Stephen is always smiling. Their wedding day was full of family, laughter and most of all love..and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Here’s hoping everyone’s Christmas was a blessed time filled with happiness, family & friends! Our prayers go out to those close to us who have experienced unexpected trauma or loss over the holiday.

My family and I just got back from Asheville this weekend for a good ole’ family Christmas trip. On Friday we went to the Biltmore house and it photographed so beautifully it made me wish I could do shoots for magazines like House Beautiful and Martha Stuart. Even in the rain the house is gorgeous..here are a few of my faves.
My favorite room in the whole house is the library. I could snuggle up in front of that fire and read all day. : )

The University of Wilmington Alumni House was the setting for Ashley’s bridal portraits and what a beautiful backdrop it was. Classic scenery for a classic bride. Ashley was all smiles in her pearls, lace and the idea of marrying her sweetheart. Here are a few of my favorites from her session.

so pretty. i love the light.
Before she ever met Stuart April had already been praying for him for years. Often she wondered if he would ever appear, but finally when the time was right God brought them into each other lives and they’ve clung to each other ever since. They are so perfectly suited for each other it’s fun just to watch them interact. Stuart is April’s peace and she is his anchor.
It was only fitting that they have a beachside ceremony and here are a few images from their day..
The reception was held at the Balcony on Dock in downtown Wilmington, NC and April had each table uniquely decorated with different locations she and Stuart have been or would be traveling to in the near future..a really neat detail!
